5 easy exercises to include in the busy daily routine
Your physical and mental health can determine the quality of your life. While there are multiple factors that affect your health, one of the most important factors of good physical health is regular exercising. Ever since you were a young kid, your teachers and parents have communicated to you the importance of exercising every day. However, despite knowing their importance, it can be difficult to have a strict exercise or workout routine with a 9-5 job, where you sit at one place and work on your computer for long hours.
Howbeit, the reason you are here is probably that you want to take time out of your busy schedule for a daily exercise routine. Exercising regularly not only makes you healthy but also improves your overall quality of life. Well, you have come to the right place as below are some easy ways you can introduce different exercises to your daily routine without the need to commit to a gym.
Morning stretches
As soon as you get up in the morning, start your day with a few stretches exactly where you are lying. You don’t have to get out of bed for the first few stretches, you can simply stretch your arms and your legs as much as you can while you are in bed. This will prepare your body for the rest of the day, and you will wake up more fresh without the need of sleeping for 5 more minutes.
Once you are done with stretches in the bed, you can perform a full-body stretch as you get out of bed. The full body stretches include calf stretch, quadriceps stretch, shoulder stretch, triceps stretch, runner’s stretch, butterfly stretch, and standing side stretch.
TV and jumping jacks
Now watch the television a little differently. Instead of lying or sitting on your couch, you can perform a couple of jumping jacks, lunges, chair dips, and sit-ups. One of the best parts about exercising while you watch TV is that you don’t have to miss out on your favorite show and yet complete your daily exercises to remain fit. You can also add more exercises like planks and spot jogging along with other exercises.
Spot jog before the shower
In the morning or at night, whenever you are about to enter the shower, perform a quick spot jog for a couple of minutes. This effective cardiovascular exercise will help you burn calories, prevent chronic diseases, and help you lose excess fat from your body. Additionally, spot or stationary jogging can be performed even on some of your busy days. Moreover, a shower will help you wash away all the sweat.
Walking while talking
Do you have a rough idea about the number of minutes you spend talking to someone on the phone? If that number is big, turn your talk time to into walk and talk time. This will help your body get its share of physical activity, especially, when you have the least amount of time for exercising. Walking while you are on a call won’t disrupt your routine and yet give you all the benefits of walking.
Out of the bed toe touches
Rotating toe touch could be one of the best exercises you can perform straight out of bed. This exercise helps you stretch and wake up fresh every morning, especially, when it is followed by some arms and leg stretches. Rotating toe touch is not a complicated exercise, and it helps you stretch your hamstrings and back and also targets your abdominal muscles. This helps you to lose the excess belly fat. However, if you have a back problem, you must avoid rotating toe touches.
